Someone at Amazon must have made a mistake in putting this item up for sale. They should check into the liability that their company will face if someone actually uses this in their infant’s crib and something terrible happens (non-breathable memory foam, use your imagination). I would not anyone’s baby to die an unnecessary SIDS death. This is totally preventable. AMAZON !!! Please take this item off the market, or remove every instance of the words “crib” or “baby” in the product advertising and/or packaging. I’m pretty sure it would be OK for a toddler.

My husband and I broke down and purchased a memory foam matress for ourselves and my husband’s snoring and constant rolling began to cease. I got to thinking and wondered if it would help my 2 year old son as well so I ordered one. I took off my son’s mattress pad and looked at his mattress….I discovered that the waterproof mattress was hard and wasn’t helped much by the thin mattress pad…no wonder my son wasn’t comfortable. From the first night that I put the memory foam topper on his mattress, my son stopped rolling around as much and he barely made any noise while he slept anymore. Also, I discovered he was waking up happier and was sleeping better at daycare because he was well rested at night. The topper is as expensive as one for a full size bed but I think it is well worth it to see my son so well rested and happy. I just wish I would have thought of it before now.

I had recently purchased this product and my daughter seems to be sleeping better. However, I am worried about the chemical smells that seems to disappear after a few weeks. What about long-term usage? Allergies developments and autism ? Are there any studies on this chemical based product on babies?

We were having trouble getting our 18m old son to sleep in his own bed. He was used to sleeping in our bed with us. When he would fall asleep in our bed, we would move him into his room to his bed. The minute he touched the mattress he would wake right up. I was looking to buy a new toddler mattress when I came across this mattress topper. What a difference!! I can’t say that he is sleeping through the night yet, but we no longer have to let him fall asleep in our bed. He climbs right into his bed without a fuss. The only issue we had with the topper was the smell. We had to let it air out for a few days b/c the smell was so strong. We have had it for a few weeks now and the smell is almost gone, definately not as strong. All in all, great product. We are very happy!!

The description does not explain that it is not a covered mattess. All memory foam mattress I have purchased for the rest of my home has been covered. I was able to return the product without a problem, once I explained that I had ordered through Amazon and it was not described as special order and could not be returned.
